Miguel “Tito” Perez, 55, of Oswego, died on January 24, 2019 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Miguel Perez and the late Mary Jane (Barker) Perez.
Miguel was an amazing man who was loved by many. He loved his family and always had a houseful of kids, grandkids and their friends. He loved music and played bass in a local band. He also loved to cook. More than anything, as “#1 Papa”, he enjoyed his role as full time Papa.
Surviving are his wife, Karoleigh (Haskins) Perez; four daughters, Sarah Haskins, Tiana Hoffman, Alexis Perez, and Liana Haskins; 7 sons, Lyle Crissy, Christopher (Shirley) Haskins, Joshus Haskins, David Gagnon, Andrew (Tonya) Haskins, Miguel Perez Jr., and Lorenzo Cantu; his father, Miguel Perez; six brothers, Harry Perez, Sammy Rodiguez, Miguel Perez Jr., Ismael Perez, Alfred Dashnau and Francis “Porky” Dashnau; nine sisters, Ana Lopez, Iliani Perez, Shirley (Efrain) Rodriguez Sr., Maria “Yoly” Perez, Iris Hernandez-Perez, Mary Hernandez, Joanne Falcon, Juanita Westberry, and Milagros Perez; 26 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved fur baby, Sugar.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Perez, his granddaughter, Mylaiya Perez and grandson Jeremiah “Tookie” Haskins.
Calling hours will be held 4-6PM Monday, January 28, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego. Spring burial will be at Rural Cemetery.
