Write a commentNancy J. Williams, 79, passed away Sunday, at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego.
Nancy was born in Syracuse NY, the daughter of the late Jacob and Bernice (Kieper) Burkart.
She was the wife of the late Harold Williams, Sr. who died in 1994.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bus driver for special needs children. She had worked for Oswego County BOCES, and for A&E Transport.
She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in New Haven, where she served as the church treasurer, and with the Women’s Fellowship.
She is survived by three sisters, Suzanne Valenzuela of Mexico, Vicki Hall of Syracuse, and Lisa (Edward) Golembeski of New Haven; a brother, Jack (Faye) Burkart of Prattville, AL; two grandchildren, Jeanna (David) Bild of Minetto, and Katelynn (Jordan Jaeger) Golembeski of Syracuse; three great-grandchildren Jaxson Golembeski, Blake Bild, and Shannon Bild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Terrence Burkart.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, December 14th, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Dewitt.
A calling hour will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 Saturday, at the funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
Contributions in her memory can be made to the First Congregational Church in New Haven.
