
Nathan J. Hammond, 24, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2015.
A resident of Oswego, he was the son of Bill and Tammy (Bateman) Hammond of Oswego. Nathan had been employed with Raby's and also was an assistant for the Millenia Music service. Nate enjoyed patrolling the ice in his youth, playing 10 years on local hockey teams. His greatest love however, was his family, with whom he shared wonderful times and memories. Nathan's family marveled at his extreme intelligence and his big heart, as he would go out of his way to help anyone. Nate's beloved dog Marley will miss him as well.
Surviving besides his parents, are his sister Abbe of Oswego, his maternal grandparents Richard Bateman and Karen Bateman, both of Oswego, his great grandmother, Corine Bateman of Oswego, his aunt Kim (Chet) Fantom of Oswego, his uncles Dickie Bateman, Brian (Laura) Bateman, Gary (Debbie) Hammond all of Oswego, and Dan Hammond of New Haven, his cousin Alexa Fantom and her son Mayson of Oswego and great aunt Ginger Graham and her children, Mark, Melanie and Ashley.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents John and Louise Hammond , his aunt Karen Madden and great uncle, David Graham.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 from St. Paul's Church.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 at the Dowdle Funeral Home.
