Nettie V. Lewis, 103, a former resident of County Route 25 in the Town of Oswego, passed away Thursday, at St. Luke Health Services.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John J. Murray, Jr., and Julia "Nettie" (Ellis) Murray. She was a former "Miss Oswego". She was the wife of the late Colonel James N. Lewis, who died in 1986.

She is survived by two sons, James V. Lewis of Batavia, and Edward J. Lewis of Hannibal; a daughter, Christine Clancy of Clay; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Lewis; six brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Herman, Ernest, Raymond, and Wilfred Murray; two daughters-in-law, Bonnie (Axtell) Lewis, and Jean Ann (Spath) Lewis; and a niece, Barbara Van Housen.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, in St. Mary's Church, 103 West Seventh Street in Oswego.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
