New Additions to Lighthouse Committee to Bring an Added Spark

While the Oswego Lighthouse restoration project is well underway, the H. Lee White Maritime Museum committee felt it needed some fresh ideas in order to make the "Love Our Lighthouse" as successful as can be.

Those fresh new ideas came in the form of four Oswego University students with a vast arrange of skills. The two seniors of the group are Chris Urato and Jack Gonzalez along with Audrey Diaz and Haliegh O'Sullivan who are both juniors. Out of the four of them there are three different areas of studies, which are Business Management, Finance, and Public Relations.

Luckily for these for new members they have known each other for a while now because they have worked on similar projects for their respected Greek organizations. Chris and Jack are in Delta Kappa Kappa fraternity, while Audrey and Haliegh are in Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority, they regularly are seen helping and supporting each other's fundraisers and functions. Both organizations have their own fundraisers that they run yearly.

"Well there were a lot of internships that our 'Leadership in Your Field' class offered" said Chris Urato, "and when I asked Jack what he thought about working with the maritime committee he was extremely excited."

Audrey and Chris are focusing on reaching out the Oswego business for donations that will be auctioned off at the "Love Our Lighthouse Day" on April 25th. With their both of them taking classes in business and finance they have great skills in talking to business owners about the benefits of contributing to the reconstruction of the lighthouse. Jack and Haliegh are both Public Relations major focusing in social media. They are helping with the foundations online presence through Facebook and Twitter.
