When Paul Osborn's play, "On Borrowed Time," directed by Richard Mosher, opens Friday, Nov. 15, there will be a couple of new faces in the cast. Playing the grandson of the main character, Matthew Oldenburg (Pud) will make his debut. Oldenburg is in the sixth grade at Charles E. Riley Elementary School in Oswego and he has plenty of acting experience.

He played the role of Tom Sawyer in the recent CNY Arts Center production of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." Also he appeared in the last two productions at the Oswego High School – "The Sound of Music" playing Kurt and "The Secret Garden" as Colin. Last winter, he was seen in the role of Ollie in "Yes, Virginia the Musical," and was in the ensemble of the last four Harborfest children's musicals. When not on stage, Oldenburg participates in Tae Kwon Do in which he has earned a Black Belt. He further enjoys singing in the school chorus and plays viola.

Zachary Demott plays the part of "Boy" and was most recently seen in the Oswego Children's Theatre production of "Winnie the Pooh." Another young acting veteran, Demott has been performing since he was three years old. In his spare time he likes to play soccer, basketball, tennis and enjoys swimming. He has a purple belt in Karate, sings in the St. Paul's Junior Choir and likes to read. One of Zachary's biggest accomplishments is that he has perfect school attendance; never missing a day since he started kindergarten!

Other cast members are Anne Raynor, Joni Anderson, Peter Mahan, Beverly Murtha, Jim Oldenburg, Kyle Walton, Jonathan C. Altman, Norman Berlin, Troy Pepper, Michael Moss and Tippy (Betty the Dog).

As stated, the show will open at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, in the Frances Marion Brown Theatre in the Oswego Arts Center at Fort Ontario. Performances will continue Saturday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m., and the following weekend, Nov.22 and 23 at 8 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday, Nov. 24. Ticket prices are $10/adults; $8/seniors and $7/students. Reservations are advised and can be made through the Box Office at 315.343.5138.
