Write a commentThe deadline for submitting nominations to the Zonta Club of Oswego for the 2016 Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement Award is June 24th.
For over 30 years, the Zonta Club of Oswego has recognized women whose hard work and dedication have made a difference in the lives of families in our community. They are seeking nominations for this years’ Amelia Earhart Woman of Achievement award.
Amelia Earhart was a member of Zonta International from 1928 until her death in 1937. Her many achievements inspired the Zonta Club of Oswego to establish this award in her name as a role model for excellence and going above and beyond. Earhart is quoted as saying “better do a good deed near at home than go far away to burn incense”. Indeed, this award honors a woman whose good deeds at home have positively impacted Oswego County.
Nomination forms can be found on the Zonta Club of Oswego’s Facebook page or by contacting Inga Back at ingaback@yahoo.com or 315-806-0785.
