Write a commentMargaret Barclay, development coordinator for Oswego County Opportunities (OCO), has announced that NRG will be a Silver Level sponsor for the agency’s “Giving Thanks” fundraiser.
The event will benefit OCO’s “Sleep Tight” initiative that is focused on eradicating the issue of bed bugs in Oswego County.
“NRG has many of the same goals as Oswego County Opportunities; supporting communities, helping people, and changing lives through power and energy. We are pleased to be able to support its efforts,” said NRG Environmental / Safety Manager Jim Walsh.
“Giving Thanks” will be held Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Lake Ontario Convention, Event and Conference Center in Oswego. The event will feature a number of food stations offering an assortment of Thanksgiving inspired delicacies and refreshments from Oswego County’s most popular restaurants including; Canale’s Restaurant, Mill House Market, La Parrilla, Blue Moon Grill, The Press Box, Mimi’s Drive-In, Tailwater Lodge and The Eis House. Additional stations will offer choices from Ontario Orchards, CiTi Culinary Arts, Appledale Orchards, Colosse Cheese, and OCO Nutrition Services. Wine and beer samples from Eagle Beverage will pair with the foods featured at each station. Entertainment for the evening will be the provided by world renowned guitarist, songwriter, recording artist, and session musician, Loren Barrigar.
Tickets to OCO’s “Giving Thanks” celebration are $30 per person and include food, refreshments, and wine and beer tastings.
