OCO Health Services has found a new home at a familiar location for its Reproductive Health Center in Oswego.

Still located inside the Oswego Health Center at 10 George St., OCO's Oswego Reproductive Health Center has moved to a new area in Suite 100 and expanded its office space to better serve its patients.

The new offices, which are separate from the primary care section of the Health Center, feature its own lab, three exam rooms, and a private waiting area.

"We're excited to be in our new offices," said Penny Halstead, administrative assistant with OCO's Health Services. "In addition to having more room for our patients we have greater control of our scheduling and more flexibility with appointments."

Clinical coordinator, Mary Hitchcock, RN, echoed Halstead's thoughts on the new offices and spoke of what she believes is one of the biggest benefits the new offices offer its patients. "Now that we are a separate entity from primary care, we have established a professional relationship with Oswego County OBGYN. It's big plus for us to have them as our supervising physicians and comforting to know that they are readily available for our patients."

In addition to its new offices in Oswego, OCO provides Reproductive Health Centers in Fulton, Pulaski and Mexico. All of these locations offer a wide range of reproductive health services and serve both women and men. Services available include, but are not limited to:

• Examinations for reproductive/sexual health/infertility
• Breast exams
• Cervical cancer screening
• Colposcopies and Endometrial biopsies
• Testing and treatment urinary tract infections
• STD testing, treatment and immunizations
• HIV testing
• Pregnancy testing and services

Halstead added that OCO Reproductive Health Centers accept most insurance plans, offer a sliding scale payment program for those who are under insured or have no insurance, and accept Medicaid as well. Additionally each center has medical secretaries and enrollers on site for the NYS Family Planning Benefit Program. "We see anyone that comes to our centers, no matter their age, need, or insurance. Reproductive health is our specialty and we are here to help," said Halstead.
