This scholarship recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement and student involvement in the school community. However, this scholarship has an additional dimension. Since Sandy Harrison was a gifted writer, the personal aspect of this scholarship comes with each applicant being requested to submit an original writing piece.
"It is with great pleasure that the selection committee selected Jake Annal as this year's recipient," said Sandra's daughter, Wendy Harrison Russo. "His outstanding academic achievements, school and community involvement and his gift of writing make him a very deserving recipient."
Members of the scholarship committee included Marie Smith, Julie Burger, Wendy Harrison Russo and Cathy Chamberlain.
