Today, in a 4-0 vote, the NY State Public Service Commission approved the sale of the FitzPatrick nuclear plant. In August, Entergy accepted an offer from Exelon Corp. to buy the facility for $110 million. Prior to this agreement, Entergy was preparing to shut down the FitzPatrick plant in January 2017.
