Before the end of the year the City of Oswego will be unveiling a Route 104 Complete Streets Plan which will identify recommendations for improvements to the Route 104 corridor, as well as opportunities to offer greater transportation choices while maintaining efficient, reliable passage for pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation riders, and motorists; it includes children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Syracuse director/choreographer Stephfond Brunson seems to have his hands (and feet) in everything these days! This past weekend, he took 3rd place with his partner Jacqueline Keuchler-Calveric in the "Dancing with Our Stars" program (pairing community leaders with dance experts to raise money for the George & Rebecca Barnes Foundation) at The Oncenter's Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center. The annual event raises funds to save the historic landmark mansion at 930 James St. "Dancing with Our Stars" began in 2008, drawing 300-350 people each year. Since then, the event has raised more than $120,000 for the foundation.
A single vehicle accident sent one driver to the hospital today, and left a portion of State Route 48 closed. The collision occurred around 2pm as the vehicle left the East side of the road and struck a utility pole, shearing the pole near the ground and leaving low hanging power lines.
Organizers of the second annual For The Kids campaign recently presented the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County (CAC) with a large donation of art supplies for children receiving services from the CAC.

For The Kids events are back on this year as the Oswego State Men’s Hockey Team, along with Fraternity Delta Kappa Kappa, look to raise awareness about child abuse and reduce its devastating impact on Oswego County as well as on a national scale. The sole beneficiary of For The Kids campaign is the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County.
For The Kids, which is run by the SUNY Oswego’s Hockey Team as well as the fraternity Delta Kappa Kappa has become quite the successful charity for the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County. On Tuesday, March 15th For The Kids held their bowling event.
