Local artist and Art Association of Oswego member Bill Demott will have his work on exhibit at Zink Shirts, 19 E. Cayuga St., during the month of July. The exhibit opens this Friday, July 12, with a reception from 6-8 p.m.
"The exhibit, called Brainstorming, will include new mixed-media works on canvas and wood," Demott said. "The scale of the work will be small, but the scope will be enormous."
Zink Shirt is a multi-purpose space used for custom screenprinting, art and musical events. Owner Glenn Zansitis said he is a strong believer that art and music need to be incorporated into a community as much as possible.
"Everybody needs a way to display their artistic talent and this is a way to bring people together in a very cultural and artistic way," he said. "It's my way of giving back to the community I live in."
Gallery hours are during store hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday; and 12-6 p.m. Saturdays.
