The City of Oswego is preparing an Arts & Cultural Master Plan.
As part of the planning process, the Steering Committee will be hosting a Community Open House on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 13 W. Oneida Street. The goals of this project are to identify desired types and locations for public art and realistic opportunities to grow arts and culture throughout the City.
You are encouraged to drop by the open house anytime between 4:30 to 7:30 pm and contribute your ideas for the Plan. The Open House format is designed so community members can stop by and spend as little or as much time as they want visiting a series of interactive stations that will be set up throughout the Council Chambers. You will be encouraged to use pens, markers and Post-It notes to provide comments on questions, share ideas and mark up maps. If you would like to have a discussion about a particular topic, concern or idea, representatives from Elan Planning and Design, the firm who is working with the City to develop the Plan, will be circulating throughout the room.
This project is being funded by the City of Oswego and a planning grant from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
