Volunteer “patients” are needed from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 to simulate receiving a vaccine at the Oswego County Health Department’s annual public health drill.

The drill involves setting up an immunization clinic, registering patients and simulating immunizations at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic, 70 Bunner St., Oswego. No actual vaccinations or medicines will be given.

Volunteers are needed to go through the registration and medical screening process. Residents of all ages are encouraged to participate. The process is expected to take about 10 minutes for each person. People can volunteer for a specific time or for the whole event.

Those who would like to register ahead of time may sign up online at www.health.ny.gov/gotoclinic/38. Parking will be in the lot directly in front of the health department complex. The entrance will be easily marked.

Walk-ins are welcome to participate by registering at the clinic Wednesday afternoon after 4 p.m.
