The Oswego Lions Club will hold their 8th Annual "Cow Chip Bingo" fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 14, at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego.

This year's event will once again feature the "Classic Car Show" as well as Lighthouse Lanes' "World Famous Chicken BBQ."
"I am pleased and proud to announce that this event will finally be the vision our club has had from the beginning, classic cars, live music, a chicken BBQ and, of course, a cow in a field," said Lion Karen Hammond, chairperson of the event.
The "Cow Chip Bingo" portion of the event will run from 12-3 p.m. "Deeds" are available for $5 each. The proceeds from the "Cow Chip Bingo" will used to support an annual scholarship in the memory of Harold "H" and Mary Dowd. "H" was a member of the Fulton Lions Club who was instrumental in keeping the Oswego Lions Club going when it was on the verge of disbanding in 1996.
The "Cow Chip Bingo" will take place on a special field that will be sectioned off into 520-square-yard plots. "Deeds" are being sold for $5 for each square yard plot.
Once "Poopsie" the cow is released onto the field, whoever owns the plot that "Poopsie" the cow fertilizes, they will walk away with $500. "Deeds" are available for purchase at Cakes Galore and More in Oswego as well as from any Oswego Lions Club member. Only 520 "Deeds" will be sold.

The Classic Car show will be from 12-4 p.m. the day of the event. Prizes will be given out for the Best Paint Job, Sharpest and People's Choice. Register your car online at Karen.Hammond@live.com. Give your make, model and year of car; there is no entry fee to enter your classic car.

The "World Famous Lighthouse Lanes Chicken BBQ" will run from 12-5 p.m. or until sold out. Presale tickets for the BBQ are $8 (must be picked up by 3 p.m.) or $10 on the day of the event. The BBQ includes chicken, baked beans, salt potatoes and a dinner roll. There will be chairs and tables set up outside to eat your chicken BBQ.

This fun-filled day will also feature live music by Lubricators – which is comprised of band members John Luber, Ray Furniss and Dave Burritt. The Lubricators will be playing from 1-4 p.m. and sponsored by Fulton Savings Bank. Lighthouse Lanes will be have cash bar set up outside the day of the event. So bring your chairs and come enjoy this great fun filled day of 50/50 drawings, Classic Cars, Music, Chicken BBQ and Cow Chip Bingo.

"We look forward to another great crowd and another wonderful event that benefit's the many great causes the Oswego Lions Club supports." said Lions Club President Mike Henderson.
