Write a commentOswego Little League and New York District 8 will host the Section 2 Tournament for ages 9-10 All-Stars beginning Saturday at the Fort Ontario baseball complex.
Constellation Energy is the major sponsor of the baseball tournament.
Six teams will be competing, and all action will be at Lagoe Field.
There will be two pools of three teams each.
Pool A will include teams representing districts 6, 8, and 10.
Pool B will include teams from districts 7, 9, and 37.
The event will begin with a "Parade of Champions" and opening ceremonies at 1 p.m. Saturday. Each team will play two pool-play games. Pool-play games will run from Saturday through Monday.
The top two from each pool will advance to Wednesday's semifinals. The Section 2 championship game is set for 5: 30 p.m. July 18 at Lagoe Field.
The Section 2 champion moves on to the state finals.
