Oswego Players director Inez Manor Parker invites everyone to tone up theirvocal chords and dig out their dancing shoes and she will be holding auditions for the organization's 75th anniversary summer musical, "Mame."
The show is based on the popular 1955 novel, "Auntie Mame," written by Patrick Dennis, and a 1956 Broadway adaptation starring Rosalind Russell. The musical's book was written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee, with lyrics by Jerry Herman.
Auditions will be held in the Frances Marion Brown Theater at 7 p.m., Friday, May 10, and at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 11. The show is scheduled for production July 5, 6, 7, 12 and 13.
There are both singing and speaking roles for men and women, a 10-year old boy and a person of oriental extraction. Be prepared to show off your talent for this fun show.
