Write a commentPassion, dedication, hard work and determination are just a few of the words that describe Oswego High School student-athlete Peyton Bond.
She will take those traits to Le Moyne College in the fall, as the senior recently signed her letter of intent to play Division I lacrosse for the Dolphins.
“I’ve played lacrosse since I was a little kid, and playing throughout school and realizing all of this hard work has paid off is something that I have strived for every day,” Bond said. “I have had this dream since third grade to play at Le Moyne since I attended their camp. This moment is really heartwarming.”
Lacrosse coach Ted Beers said Bond’s dedication stands out both on and off the field.
“It’s rare that you get an athlete that puts in that much work not just into the sport but also off the field,” Beers said. “I am honored that she’s one of my athletes. Her leadership skills extend past sports and into her life as well. She is a hardworking, unbelievably dedicated young lady.”
