The Oswego County Solid Waste Department announced Thursday that its Oswego Transfer Station is back up and running at full capacity following repairs made to address recent mechanical issues.

Certain components of the electrical system that operates the compactor had failed and replacement parts were no longer available. Upgraded mechanics were commissioned and installed, allowing operations to resume this week.

All four bays on the tipping floor are now open to the public.

The Oswego Transfer Station is located at 700 E. Seneca St. Its hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

For more information, call the Oswego Transfer Station at 315-349-3439 or the Solid Waste main office at 315-591-9200.
