During the 2013 Oswego Harborfest event, local youths showcased their talent at the inaugural "Oswego's Got Talent" competition.
The event was sponsored by SUNY Oswego's Small Business Development Center and took place at the Palladium-Times Tent in Novelis Family Park at Franklin Square.
Visual art submissions included sketches by Alexis Johnson and an illustrated poem by Claudia Chetney.
The Way Out duo of Sophie Woods and Luke May performed "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train and "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye.
Sierra Palmer sang "Keep Holding On" by Avril Levine and performed an acoustic original about bullying.
Nathaley Torrese-Babcock performed "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers and "Try" by Pink.
The Harborfest Children's Committee intends to make Oswego's Got Talent Show an annual part of Harborfest celebrating creativity, youth artists, diversity and creating an awareness of Oswego County's rich cultural resources.
