The Oswego High School Band Parents Association and the Marching Buccaneers are excited to host the 36th Annual Pageant of Champions on Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Talented marching bands from across Central New York will take over Oswego High School’s Joseph Wilber Field.  Presale tickets are $6, and tickets will be available for purchase at the door the day of the event for $8.

This year, Oswego prepares to host marching bands from the following high schools: Jordan-Elbridge, Central Square, East Irondequoit, East Syracuse-Minoa, New Hartford, Mohonasen, Liverpool, West Genesee and Victor.

The Pageant of Champions typically attracts hundreds of spectators in a standing room-only environment.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators have been enjoying performances from the Pageant of Champions since 1979. Oswego has hosted over 252 bands from across Central New York since then.

Presale tickets are available for purchase from any marching band member and from Sandi Attwood at sattwood@heritage-homes.net.

Upcoming events for the Marching Buccaneers include the New York State Field Band Conference competition (NYSFBC) at New Hartford on Sept. 13 and another NYSFBC competition at West Genesee.
