Born and raised in Oswego, he was the son of the late Nick and Henrietta (Welling) Sterio.
A lifelong Oswegonian, Patrick graduated from Oswego High School and was employed by Fred’s Auto as a delivery driver.
Patrick loved music and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed collecting wooden ducks, gardening, and cooking. He had a passion for photography and loved creating collages with his photos, especially those of sunrises, sunsets, and moon shots.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Zara (Alba) Sterio; son, Sean (Abby Murray) Mackinzie; three brothers, John (Pam) of Florida, Nicholas of Florida, and twin brother Michael (Myrtis) of Oswego; three sisters, Joanne (Carl) Watts of Florida, Nancy Sterio, of Oswego, and Susan (Perry) Bertsch of Oswego, and; two grandchildren, Maddyn and Mia Mackinzie; close friend Melinda Bartholomew; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, June 19th at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street. The family will hold a reception at their home directly following the calling hours.
