Write a commentPaul Charles Dehm, 91, a resident of Talisman Terrace in Oswego, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Syracuse.
Paul was born in Oswego, the son of the late Paul J. and Edna (Henderson) Dehm. He was the fifth of ten children.
He was the husband of the late Jeannette (Ottman) Dehm, who died on June 5, 2023.
He was a veteran of the US Navy, and served during the Korean War. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a technician with the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. Paul served on the Oswego Planning Board, and was a member of the Oswego Elks, the Oswego American Legion, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
He is survived by two sons, Paul D. (Lisa) Dehm of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and James (Shantelle) Dehm of Baldwinsville, NY; three sisters, Elizabeth (Sam) Saraceno of Endicott, NY, Bernice Knight of Mill Hall, PA, and Joan Knoop of Oswego; and four grandchildren, Christina Dehm of Albany, AnneMarie Dehm of Albany, Paul “Jake” Dehm of Huntsville, AL, and Zachary Dehm of Huntsville, AL.
He was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Irene Dehm, Frances Ennis, and Sally Dehm Saia; and three brothers, Joseph Dehm, David Dehm, and Thomas Dehm, who was killed in Korea in 1950.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 Monday, December 18th, at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and Shrine, 103 West 7th Street in Oswego.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Sunday, December 17th, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
