Write a commentPaul F. Merritt, 59, a resident of Fulton, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
Paul was born in Oswego, the son of the late Maurice and Dorothy (White) Merritt. He was a life resident of the area.
He was a former member of the VFW Post #2320 in Oswego.
He is survived by a son, Brian (Lisa Cashel) Merritt of Fulton; a daughter, Alecia Merritt of Sedona, Arizona; a brother, David (Killeen) Merritt of Fairport; two sisters, Lou-Ann Ahart of Oswego, and Sue (Gary Babcock) Merritt of Oswego; two grandchildren, Kyra Merritt and Kyler Cashel; the mother of his children, Joann Merritt of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Becky Thompson, Debbie Loftus, and Brenda Merritt.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 29th, at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Following the cemetery services, a celebration of his life will be held at the home of his sister, Sue Merritt, 89 East 8th Street in Oswego.
Arrangements are in care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Oswego.
