Born in Oswego, New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Maude (Berkman) Cornette.
She was educated in Utica, New York, and moved to Oswego, New York, in 1948. She was a member of the Girl Scouts for 25 years, She was a member of the West Baptist Church, their choir and bell choir, and a Sunday School teacher. June (as she was known to friends and family) was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafts of all kinds.
Surviving are her three daughters Nareen Copeland of Texas, Laura Lee Nagel of Colorado, and Denise Koskey of New York, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers William and Alton Cornette.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2018, 11:00 AM, at the West Baptist Church, 39 West Mohawk Street, Oswego, New York. Burial will follow at the Crown Hill Memorial Park cemetery in Clinton, New York.
