Write a commentPhilip S. Hosley, 73 of Oswego died Friday at his home.
He was born in Elmira, NY and was the son of the late Allen Hosley and Carrie Blanche Carroll Hosley.
Mr. Hosley was employed as a Rural Delivery Carrier for 30 years with the United States Post Office in Oneonta, NY and his passion was Jyotish Astrology.
Following his retirement from the Postal Service he served as Town Justice in the Town of Oneonta and was a member of the NYS Magistrates Association.
Mr. Hosley is survived by two daughters, Caroline (Don) Anderson and Claire Hosley both of Oswego, one brother Walt (Chris) Hosley of Elmira, two sisters, Altah (Mike) Birkholtz and Lois (Paul) Nugent both of Elmira, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours or services planned at this time, but there will be a celebration of life near his hometown of Oneonta, NY in the coming weeks.
