He worked as a field engineer for Cap Snap in San Jose, CA.
Pierre loved hunting, fishing, and playing cards & poker.
He is survived by his wife, Louise (Southgate) Gilbert; his daughters, Joyce (Peter) Crandall, Oswego, NY, Joanne (David) LaRock,Hamilton, VA; Rebecca (Dan) Maguire, of Scriba, NY; his sons, James (Debi Sharp) Gilbert of Huntersville, NC, John (Jamie) Gilbert of Iron Station, NC, Zachary (Jessica) Gilbert of Fulton, NY; his brother, Macel “Corky” Gilbert, of Scriba, NY; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Flora “Betty” Weiss.
Services will be private at the convince of the family.
