In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse, the H. Lee White Marine Museum is asking the public to send short stories, poems or letters to the museum about this iconic image of the Oswego community. Basically, we are asking for residents and visitors alike to tell us what inspires them about the lighthouse.
The written pieces will be presented at an event to be held in the fall. Some selections may be used on the museum's website or in our newsletter as part of the Love our Lighthouse campaign to restore the historic structure.
