The Oswego County Historical Society and Robert Berkeley Physical Therapy invite you to journey through time and go “Back to the Future” on Thursday, April 18th!

Robert Berkeley is a supporter of many community events, including the Oswego County Historical Society’s “Classic Movie Night”. He recently offered to sponsor a new fundraiser for OCHS, a spring movie that is a more recent classic. Proceeds from the event will go toward the upkeep and maintenance of the Richardson-Bates House Museum. On top of being one of the most intact house museums, OCHS offers research opportunities for those seeking information on Oswego County history and genealogy. Several digitization projects are in the works in an effort to make the vast archives accessible on line.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, “Back to the Future” is certainly a classic. It was released in 1985 and nominated for several Academy Awards. It’s a sci-fi comedy based on time travel and how one small change in the past could affect the future. The dialog is great, the characters charmingly quirky, with a villain you love to hate. Aren’t we all worried about running out of time? That is a main theme of the film. Whether the film is new to you, a nostalgic piece, or you’ve never seen it on the big screen, you’re in for a treat. Join Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), scientist and inventor Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), and a cast of familiar faces in this modern classic at 7:00 pm, Thursday, April 18th at Oswego Cinema 7, 138 W. Second Street. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Oswego Theatre, or by calling the museum, 315-343-1342. Hop into that DeLorean and join us for a trip down memory lane!
