Richard E. Tremblay, 70 of Oswego died unexpectedly Monday September 12, at his home.
He was born in Salem, Massachusetts and was the son of the late Paul and Mable Cameron Tremblay.
After graduating from high school Richie moved to Oswego to attend SUNY Oswego where he became a member of the Oswego Laker Hockey team from 1971-1974.
He graduated from Oswego State in 1975 and went on to coach the Oswego State Women’s Ice Hockey team.
He was a well know masonry contractor in the Oswego area until his retirement several years ago.
Richie is survived by one sister Cindy Murley of Salem, MA, four brothers, Mark Tremblay of Salem, MA, Albert Tremblay of Maine, Robert Tremblay of Beverly, MA, Donald Tremblay of Salem, MA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother Paul Tremblay.
A calling hour will be held from 1-2PM on Monday September 26, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home immediately followed by a reception to remember Richie at Canales Restaurant.
