Richard Michael Dowd, 58, a resident of 54 Church St., died unexpectedly at home on September 24, 2017.

Born September 9, 1959 in Oswego, N.Y., he was the son of Donald and Sarah (Wall) Dowd.

His favorite sports teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the N.Y. Mets. He was very well known for his cooking and baking, especially the large trays of Christmas cookies he gave to his friends and relatives during the holidays.
