Write a commentStained glass artist Cathy Pence is being featured as Artist of the Month for August at the Riverside Artisans Cooperative.
According to Cathy, “Working with art glass offers me unlimited opportunities for creating designs. I make stained glass panels as large as windows and as small as sun catchers that accent a window.”
Cathy has been in love with making glass art since seeing a notice announcing a stained glass class in 1999. She sometimes incorporates natural stones or fossils, and even a 45 RPM record, into her pieces.
To honor Cathy as August’s Artist of the Month, Riverside Artisans is holding a free raffle of her work. The winner will receive a delicate stained glass ship with billowing sails.
Just stop by the shop at 191 W. 1st St. in the Canal Commons in downtown Oswego to fill out a raffle ticket to register for the drawing at the end of the month. No purchase is necessary. The winner will be notified at the end of August.
