Born in Oak Park, Illinois, he was the son of the late Alois and Emily (Gungle) Trnka.
He moved to Oswego in 1990 where he worked in sales. He enjoyed classic cars, NASCAR and woodworking, which included his building of a model hydroplane.
He enjoyed his home and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Valarie (Briglin) Trnka; a brother and a step-sister.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, with a service to follow at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego, NY.
