Born in West Point, he was a son of Ethel Davis and the late Francis Dominick. He was a graduate of the Newburgh City School District and received his degree in Architectural Drafting from Hudson Valley College.
He was head of the Building and Grounds for the Newburgh City School District.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his mother are his wife of thirty years, the former Patricia Cook, three children, Robert M.(Krista) Dominick Jr., Christian (Kelly) Dominick, Juliana (Aaron) Swift, a sister, Deborah Sherwood, two brothers, Scott Dominick, Glenn Dominick, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
Arrangements are in the care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
