Born in Cooperstown, he was the son of the late Maurice and Esther (Goodale) Henning.
He worked in Customs and Regulatory Compliance for Kalitta Airlines Cargo in New York City.
Robert enjoyed watching hockey and car racing. He also enjoyed going to the theatre in NYC, Robert was an avid Democrat and donated to Americares and Southern Poverty Law Center.
Robert was a member of the Church of Resurrection in Queens, NY.
Robert is survived by five sisters, Susan Henning, of Oswego; Margaret Fabianek, of Orwell; Janice Brouillard, of Oswego; Dawn Tice, of Oswego; and Marilyn Figura, of New Jersey.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
