
Ronald Waters, 75, of Oswego, passed away December 24, 2014 at his home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late John and Alice (Cook) Waters. He was a US Navy Veteran, who served on and was a Plank Owner of the USS Independence. He was employed as a Carpenter and a member of the Union 747 for more than 50 years. He also worked as a Carpenter at SUNY Oswego. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Oswego Elks, American Legion and Hibernians.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Monica (Van Wie) Waters; three daughters, Katrina (Jonathan) Jacobs of Tulsa, OK; Karen Wygant of Oswego; Kimberly McGann of Oswego; three brothers, George (Rosetta) Waters, Frederick Waters and Alan Waters, all of Oswego; four sisters, Darol Bowerson of Arlington, TX; Mary Ellen (George) Matott of Cumming, TX; Paula (Ted) LaBouef of Rome; Natalie Waters of Oswego; grandsons, Mason and Shane McGann; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Robert Waters, Larry Waters, David Waters, Britt Waters and Sheila Demm; and a son-in-law, Michael Wygant.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Paul's Church, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 2-5pm. Sunday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
