
Rose Siembor, aged 95, died peacefully in her home October 9, 2016, on her 73rd wedding anniversary.
Rose was born January 7, 1921, in Fulton, N.Y., the daughter of Steve and Anna (Michaellszyn) Kush.
Rose graduated from Fulton High School in 1938.
In 1943, Rose married Theodore (Ted) Siembor, and upon his honorable discharge from the Army in 1945, they resided in Oswego, N.Y. She worked part time in retail sales while raising their three children.
Rose loved her home and her backyard gardens. She enjoyed hosting family events and traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. She attended Oswego State University and took a special interest in learning the French language. After retirement, she became a part time licensed real estate agent.
Rose was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Church. She was a volunteer in the Polish Club Ladies Auxiliary.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Ted in 2013 and her siblings, Katherine Siembor, Nicholas Kush, and Sarah Kush.
She is survived by her children; Stephanie (Eugene) Simmons, of Springfield, MA, Roselle (Gary) Abyad of Daniel Island, S.C.; Barry Siembor, of Woodenville, WA; three sisters, Julie Cushman, Josephine Hitchcock, and Jean Barrus, all of Fulton; four grandchildren, Melanie Miller, Wendy Boualem, Jennifer Siembor, Diana Siembor; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
