Write a commentRoy Earl Dalziell, Jr., 81 of Baldwinsville and formerly of Oswego passed away Saturday in Syracuse.
He was born in Stockton, California and was the son of the late Roy E. and Ruth Ward Dalziell, Sr.
Mr. Dalziell had been employed for 32 years at the Alcan Aluminum Corp following his arrival in Oswego in 1969.
Roy loved to travel and enjoyed Broadway shows, attending concerts and traveling to California to spend time with his family.
He had an extensive CD collection of 1,500 discs. In his younger years he enjoyed camping with his family.
Roy traveled extensively to California, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh and cruises in the Caribbean.
He was a Veteran of the US Army and served for six years including 3 in France.
Mr. Dalziell is survived by his wife Diana Nagel Dalziell, two daughters, Rorie (Patrick) Doty of New Jersey, Lisa Bennett of Oswego, one stepdaughter, Susan Marie Galbally of Auburn, one brother William (Katherine) Dalziell of Washington State, three sisters Hazel Albert and Helen Pritchett, both of Stockton, CA, Marion Wilson all of Rio Linda, CA., five grandchildren Alex Doty, Laura Bennett, Mark Galbally. Emily Galbally, Dillon Nagel, two great grandchildren Irelyn Galbally, Link Galbally and several neices and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Douglas Dalziell.
Calling hours will be Tuesday August 15 from 4-6 PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Private burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Cemeterey.
