The response to February’s Learn to Sew series was so successful that Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County 4-H Program has decided to offer another opportunity for youth to take its Learn to Sew workshop.

The three session program teaches children ages eight to 19 how to sew with a sewing machine and also by hand. The classes will be held from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm on the following dates: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, April 26th through 28th at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County office at 3288 Main Street in Mexico. Each day participants will go home with a finished project: a potholder, a pillowcase, and a decorative table-runner.

The program fee is $30 per child and covers all sewing supplies, including sewing machines. Individuals may bring their own sewing machines if they choose. The registration deadline is Thursday, April 14, 2016.

To register for Learn to Sew or for more details, please call the Oswego County 4-H Office at 963-7286, ext. 302 or email Mary Matteson at mmm65@cornell.edu. Cornell Cooperative Extension is an employer and educator recognized for valuing AA/EEO, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities and provides equal program and employment opportunities.
