Shirley L. Krolikowski, 86, of Pontiac Terrace Apartments in Oswego, passed away Thursday, February 6th, 2020, at the Oswego Hospital.
Shirley was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Fred and Myrtle (Noerr) Haynes. She was a life resident of Oswego.
She married the love of her life, Edward Krolikowski, on February 12, 1950, and he predeceased her in 2001.
She was a loving wife and mother, but the most important thing in life to her was her faith. She was a baptized in 1948, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and remained devoted and strong right up to the time of her death. She was a member of the Congregation in Fulton, NY.
Shirley was an enthusiastic shopper, and loved going to yard sales and farmer’s markets.
She is survived by a son, Bruce (Tony Maherne) Krolikowski of Mexoco; three daughters, Deborah Burlette of Louisiana, Judie (David) Winklestine of Oswego, and Julie Krolikowski of Oswego; a special niece, Gail Castaldo of Oswego whom she loved the same as a daughter; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Krolikowski of Oswego; an ex-son-in-law, Mark Burlette of Oswego; many grandchildren , but she was especially close to Emily, David, Alex, Preston, and Bruce; several nieces and nephews; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Walter Krolikowski; a sister, Loretta Pryor, and three brothers, John Haynes, Robert Haynes, and Jim Clark.
Services will be held at 3:00 Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Route 48 in Fulton.
There will be no calling hours.
Spring burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
