A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the City of Oswego, effective 7:00 am on February 18, 2025.

This State of Emergency has been declared due to extreme lake effect blizzard conditions, high winds, and poor visibility which has the potential to cause a strain on local emergency resources.

This State of Emergency will remain in effect until rescinded by a subsequent order.

As Mayor and Chief Executive of the City of Oswego, I. Robert A. Corradino, exercise the authority given me under Section 24 of the New York State Executive Law, to preserve the public safety and hereby render all available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health of the citizens of the City of Oswego.

I hereby direct all departments and agencies of the City of Oswego to take whatever steps necessary to protect life and property, public infrastructure, and provide emergency assistance deemed necessary.
