Write a commentA proud World War II Navy combat veteran and member of the “Greatest Generation”, Stephen G. Glover answered his final roll call on September 23 at age 90.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alonzo and Loretta, sister Irene and brother-in-law Anthony.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, June Koofman Glover, and children: Lawrence (Gail); Kevin (Mary); Michael (Nancy); Sean (Kyla); Carole Pehta (Charles); Patrick; Brian (Juan); and Thomas Myers (Kim). Also survived by grandchildren: Robert, Bo, Hao Ying, Alexandra, Abigail, and Alexander Glover; Matthew (Ongelea) and Eric Pehta; and Ryan and Jordan Myers.
As per Steve’s request, there will be no calling hours.
He will be buried with full military honors at the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorials in Steve’s memory may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
