Stephen McMahon, 78, of Oswego, died on May 2, 2026. 

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Marie (Brady) Serva.

Stephen served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1971. 

Stephen drove a taxi for the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission for more than 20 years. His enjoyments were playing bingo and bible study.

Surviving are his daughter, Sheryl (Matt) Wagorn; his son, Stephen McMahon; his granddaughter, Ashley (Wesley) Mazac; his great-grandchildren, Harvey, Riley, and Charlotte; and his former spouse, Marilyn (Jack) Zewan.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Paul Serva.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, May 7th, at Christ the Good Shepherd, 134 East 5th Street,  Oswego. Calling hours will be held from 11:00-11:30 am, before Mass, at the Church.  Entombment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, a donation in Stephen’s name can be made to St. Luke-John Foster Burden Fund, 299 East River Road, Oswego, NY 13126.

Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
