You may have thought the campaign season was over with the election, but cast members of the Oswego Players next production, "The Best Man," by Gore Vidal have other ideas.

The Cantwell and Russell teams will be on the campaign trail scheming, planning, and backstabbing up until the curtain rises on opening night, April 12. They even have campaign headquarters and events planned at the CoffeeNook, rivers end bookstore and the YMCA. More details will be forthcoming as they become available.
Presidential candidate Joseph Cantwell is played by Kyle Walton. Waltonsaid he is pleased to be back on stage after appearing in the first show of the Players 75th anniversary season as Max in "Dial M for Murder." This is his sixth show with the group and past appearances include "Miracle on 34thStreet," "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, "Play On" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" as well as Fulton Community Theatre's, "Bedside Manners."

Walton is employed as athletics director for the Oswego YMCA and is the mastermind behind the annual "Halloween at the Y" event. He said he truly cherishes his role as an "ambassador" to the diverse community he has spent the last 10 years serving.

She also is director of the Kids on Stage program for CNY Arts Center in Fulton. She is happy to be back on stage after serving as director, stage manager, set designer or technical assistant for the past 13 years. Her stage credits include "Cinderella," "Up the Down Staircase," "Once Upon a Mattress," "Harvey," "The Sound of Music" and "Little Shop of Horrors."
Price has a passion for the dance which she studied at the University of Georgia. She has served as choreographer for theater companies across the East for "Grease," "Guys and Dolls," "Annie," "Big River," "Bye Bye Birdie" and Godspell. She is also a published poet and an avid reader.
