Thomas F. Butler, 61, of Oswego, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Fulton, he was a son of the late Charles and Bernice Buttimer Butler.
He was a graduate of the Oswego High School.
Mr. Butler was employed for many years with the Butler Disposal Systems.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 268 in Oswego.
Mr. Butler is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Butler, of Oswego; and one son, Brandon Butler, of Los Angeles, Cal; two sisters, Bonnie (Joseph) Purdy and Becky (Paul) Engle, both of South Carolina; five brothers, Charles (Missie) Butler, Alan (Georgianna) Butler, Dale Butler and Todd (Chrissa) Butler, all of Oswego; Terry Butler, of Hermon, NY; his stepmother, Kathy Hall Butler, of Hannibal; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, 112 W. Second St.
Burial will be in Peck's Cemetery.
