Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Edward B. and Maizie (Foley) Izyk.
Tom worked as a Sign Maintenance Man for the City of Oswego for 30 years, retiring in 2005.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
His hobbies were fishing, gardening, hunting and playing cribbage.
Surviving are his wife, of 47 years Cynthia (Belson) Izyk; a daughter, Traci L. Izyk of Oswego; his sons, Thomas P. Izyk Jr.; of North Syracuse; Paul T. (Donna) Izyk, of Lancaster, TX; Frank E. (Tricia) Izyk, of Phoenix; a brother, Edward (Joan) Izyk of Oswego; two sisters, Frances (Joseph) Cernaro, of Oswego; Elaine (Bill) Chillson, of Hannibal; beloved grandchildren, Chadwick Izyk, Paul T. Izyk Jr., Robert Izyk, Derek Izyk and Alexis Izyk-Treece; two great-grandchidren, Justin and Dean Izyk; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 2-6 p.m. Monday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
