He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Joseph and Genivieve Kray McCarthy.He was the husband of the late Shirlie Scharf McCarthy.
Tim was a lifelong resident, and he was educated in Oswego schools.He had been employed for many years by the City of Oswego Department of Public Works.Tim was the lead singer for the band Part 1 for many years and several other rock n roll bands.He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by one son, Timothy (Faith) McCarthy of Oswego, one daughter Michele (Joseph Sellin) McCarthy of Oswego, one sister Mary Ann Hubbard of Arizona, six grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
As per Tim’s request there will be no calling hours or services.
Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
