The students at the Frederick Leighton Elementary School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee regional. The top three finishers who will advance to the regional competition are Shae Carter, second place; Austin Martin, first place; and Lara Kanbur, third. They are congratulated by coordinator and literacy specialist, Amy Armet.
