The Oswego County Traffic Safety Board recognized members of local law enforcement for their dedication to community safety during the Traffic Safety Board Champions Event held Wednesday, May 13 at Kristen’s Kitchen at Battle Island.
The event honored individuals nominated by their respective departments and barracks for their outstanding commitment to promoting traffic and pedestrian safety throughout Oswego County. Honorees were recognized for their leadership, service, and continued efforts to help keep local roads and communities safe.
“The work these individuals do every day has a direct impact on the safety and wellbeing of our community,” said Gavin Wandersee, Traffic Safety Coordinator at Integrated Community Planning of Oswego County. “Their dedication and leadership play an important role in making Oswego County’s roads safer for everyone.”
“This event is a great opportunity to recognize the individuals who work hard every day to help prevent injuries and promote safe driving habits throughout the community,” said Diane Oldenburg, Executive Secretary of the Traffic Safety Board. “It also helps keep the conversation around traffic safety active and visible in Oswego County.”
Award recipients represented agencies from across Oswego County and were selected based on their commitment to public safety and service to the community.

Officer Domenick Brancato - Oswego City Police Department
Officer Mitchell Gladle - Fulton Police Department
Officer Jacob Lyon - SUNY Police Department
Trooper Nathaniel Ferreira - State Police
Trooper Alec Nelson - State Police
Trooper Taylor Pulver - State Police
